SHEPHERDS PIE WITH POTATO TOTS ENJOY DAN:


SHEPHERDS PIE WITH POTAOE TOTS by CHEF DAN:
Serves 12

INGREDIENTS:
1-(16 Oz) bag potato tot’s
1-pound ground beef
1-onion, diced
carrot, chopped
1/4-teaspoon dried thyme
1-tablespoon flour
1-cup beef broth
3-tablespoon ketchup
1-teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper
2-cups of shredded cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS (PREHEAT OVEN TO 376 F)
1.   Grease a casserole dish & set aside.
2.   Fry the ground beef, onion, carrot, & thyme in skillet over medium-high heat.
3.   sauté for 5-7 minutes or until meat no longer pink I the middle.
4.   Sprinkle flour over the top, then add beef broth, ketchup & Worcestershire sauce.
5.   Season with salt & pepper.
6.   Reduce heat & simmer for 7-8 minutes, until sauce thickens.
7.   Transfer to the prepared casserole dish.
8.   Place the meat mixture evenly over the bottom of the casserole dish.
9.   take the tater tots & spread the entire bag out in an even layer on top of the meat mixture.
10  Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
11  Once the Shepherd’s pie is cooked sprinkle with cheese.
12  place back into the oven & cook until cheese is melted.
13  Remove from oven & enjoy.
