ENGLISH BEEF STEW ENJOY DAN:

                                  ENGLISH BEEF STEW by CHEF DAN:
Serve 4

INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2-pounds chuck roast, cut into cubes
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4-cup flour
1-quart broth
1/4-teaspon thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon, garlic powder
3 potatoes, diced
2 carrots, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 (8 Oz) bag frozen peas, defrosted

DIRECTIONS:
1.   Brown beef over medium-high heat.
2.   Sprinkle with sugar; cook until browned.
3.   Sprinkle with flour and brown well.
4.   Add broth, bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
5.   Add thyme, salt, and garlic powder.
6.   Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer for 1-1/2-hours.
7.   Add potatoes, carrots, onion, and peas.
8.   Simmer until meat and vegetables are tender
