A FUND DRIVE TO HELP OUT THE FOOD BANK ENJOY DAN:


ITALIAN MEATBALLS FOR FOOD BANK FUND DRIVE by CHEF DAN:
Serves 97

INGREDIENTS:

20 pounds ground beef
2 cups ground oregano
2 cups Italian seasoning
8 cloves garlic, chopped
3 cups pine nuts
9 packages dry onion soup mix
12 cups Italian-style dry bread crumbs, recipe to follow
10 eggs, lightly beaten

DIRECTIONS:       (PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES)

1.     Combine all ingredients in a large steel bowl.
2.     Mix thoroughly.
3.     If too dry use a little milk to make them hold together.
4.     Let stand for 30 minutes.
5.     Shape into 2-inch balls or so.
6.     In a pre-greased jelly roll pan place the Italian meat balls.
7.     Bake in pre-heated oven for 1 hour or until lightly browned.

BREAD CRUMB RECIPE:
1.       12 cups plain bread crumbs.
2.     2 tablespoons salt.
3.     2 tablespoons Italian seasoning.
4.     1 tablespoon garlic powder.
5.     1 tablespoon onion powder.
6.     1 tablespoons sugar.
7.     1 tablespoon dried oregano.

DIRECTIONS:

1.     Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
2.     Blend thoroughly.
