ORLEANS MADI GRAS CAJUN CHICKEN IN THE SLOW COOKER by CHEF DAN:
Serves

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound
skinless, boneless, chicken breast
1-pound
bulk sausage
1
onion, chopped
1 red
bell pepper, chopped
4
celery ribs, chopped
3 garlic
cloves, chopped
2-cup
chicken broth
2
(14.5 Oz) cans diced tomatoes
1 (15
Oz) can tomato sauce
1
tablespoon Cajun seasoning (recipe to follow)
1/2-teaspoon
jalapeno powder
DIRECTIONS:
1.
Add
all ingredients into the crock pot.
2.
Stir
well
3.
Cook
on high 3-4 hours on low 6-8 hours
CAJUN
SEASONING:
4
teaspoons salt
4
teaspoons garlic powder
4
teaspoons smoked paprika
3 teaspoons
oregano
2
teaspoons black pepper
2
teaspoons cayenne
2 teaspoons
cayenne
1
teaspoon red pepper flakes
DIRECTION:

Mix
all ingredients together and store in an air tight jar.
