OH YEH BABE A LITTLE VODKA AND PASTA ENJOY DAN:


       SBARRO RIGATONI LA VODKA by CHEF DAN:

Serves 4

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

2 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 shallots minced

1 cup vodka

1 (26 Oz) jar tomato basil Marinara sauce

1 pound pasta such as penne, rigatoni, or ziti

1/2-cup heavy cream

1/2- teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon EACH sea salt, black pepper, and dried basil

2 tablespoon bacon bits

2 tablespoon Romano or Parmesan cheese

A handful chopped parsley

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

1.  In a sauce pan over medium-heat, add oil and butter.

2.  When sizzling add garlic, and shallots.

3.  Gently sauté for about 4-5 minutes.

4.  Add Marinara sauce, salt and pepper, red pepper, and basil.

5.  Cook over medium-heat, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated.

6.  Add cream and vodka.

7.  Stir to mix and cook for a few minutes.

8.  Boil pasta according to package directions.

9.  In a mixing bowl, combine drained pasta with cream sauce.

10.              Mix thoroughly.

11.              Transfer to serving bowl and sprinkle with grated cheese, bacon bits and parsley.
