BACON WRAPPED FIGS ENJOY DAN:


                       BACON WRAPPED FIGS by CHEF DAN:
makes 24 figs

INGREDIENTS:
12-bacon strips
24-fresh figs
1/4-cup cream cheese
1/4-cup packed brown sugar
2-tablespoos cocoa chili blend powder (recipe to follow)
1-teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS: (PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 F)
1.   Cut bacon strips in half crosswise.
2.   Line a baking sheet with foil.
3.   Place bacon stripes side by side
4.   Bake 10-12 minutes until partially cooked.
5.   Cut a lengthwise slit down the center of each fig.
6.   Fill with 1/2-reaspoon cream cheese
7.   In a bowl mix brown sugar, chili blend powder & cinnamon.
8.   Dip one side of each bacon piece in brown sugar mixture.
9.   Wrap each fig with bacon piece, sugar side out.
10  Secure with a toothpick.
11  Transfer to prepared baking sheet.
12  Bake 10-12-minnutes or until bacon is crispy.

COCOA CHILI SPICE BLEND:
1/4-cup chili
1-Tablespoon EACH garlic powder, cumin, & oregano
2-teaspoons EACH lemon powder seasoning, & cocoa powder
1-teaspoon EACH paprika, cinnamon powder. cayenne, & instant coffee.
1/2-teaspoon EACH coriander & ground fenugreek
