STUFF INFUSED WITH VODKA ENJOY DAN:


                     BASIL INFUSED WITH VODKA by CHEF DAN:

 

1-1/2-cups fresh basil, washed and dried

Large container

750 ml bottle of vodka

Place basil in quart jar with a lid.

Pour vodka over the top.

Store the infused vodka in a dark place for 5 weeks, shaking daily.

Strain the infused vodka through a coffee filter, catching the liquid in a separate container and then pour into a clean 750 ml bottle.

 

PINEAPPLE INFUSED WITH VODKA:

 

Fresh pineapple spears

750 ml bottle of vodka

Glass container with lid

Layer pineapple spears standing straight up in glass container.

Pour vodka over and place top on.

Place container in the refrigerator for two weeks.

Pour into martini glass and garnish with a little pineapple.

 

HERBS INFUSED WITH VODKA:

 

A handful of fresh mint

2 stalks fresh rosemary

750 ml bottle of vodka

Pint jars with lids

Prepare the herbs by rinsing, stemming and chopping their leaves.

Add to the sterilized jars.

Pour vodka over.

Place in dark place and shake every couple days for 1 week.

 

LEMON-STRAWBERRY-BASIL INFUSED WITH VODKA

 

1 MEYER’S OR DEADY’S lemon, sliced

12 strawberries, sliced

1 handful fresh basil, torn

750 ml bottle of vodka

Add slices lemon to a mason jar and pour 1/3-vodka over.

Add basil leaves and pour 1/3- more vodka over.

Add sliced strawberries and fill the remainder of the Mason jar with vodka.

Squeeze the juice from 2 strawberries and juice from the heel of the lemon, into the mixture, to get the infusion going.

Place lid on and let sit 2 weeks, shaking every couple days.
