RECIPES FROM THE 30's ENJOY DAN:


ARLENNE RECIPES (Berdenes grandmother) CHICKEN SQUARS FROM 1930’S

 

1-1/2 chicken cut up

Water to cover

1 teaspoon salt

Pepper

2 cups bread crumbs

1 cup cooked rice

1 teaspoon slat

Paprika

1/2-cup pimento

4 eggs, beaten

1/4-cup butter

3 cups chicken broth

 

 

Cook chicken and remove the bones.

Dice chicken.

Mix chicken with the rest of things.

Pour into 12-inch oiled pan.

Bake 350 for 50 minutes.

Cool about 10 minutes.

Cut in squares and serve with mushroom sauce.

Serves 2-16
