WORKING ON A CHRISTMAS TREE FARM AND SOMEBODY HAS TO COOK ENJOY DAN:

         CLASSIC MEATLOAF FOR BILLICK’S TREE FRAM CREW by CHEF DAN:
Serves 10

INGREDIENTS:

2 pounds ground beef
1/2-teaspoon EACH ground pepper, and cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons EACH chili powder, and dried thyme
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 cup rolled oats or more if needed
2 carrots, shredded
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 eggs
1-1/2-cups BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon salt

THE GLAZE:
1/2-cup catsup or chili sauce
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon DAN’S honey

DIRECTIONS:                     (PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES)

1.    Mix the ground beef, black and cayenne pepper carrots, onion soup mix, egg, carrots, garlic cloves, BBQ sauce and salt.
2.    In a mixing bowl mix until thoroughly combined.
3.    Stir in enough oats to make the mixture hold together.
4.    Spray meatloaf pan with cooking spray.
5.    Pack the mixture into a 10-inch loaf pan to mold the shape of the meatloaf.
6.    Combine all glaze ingredients and mix thoroughly.
7.    Place the meatloaf pan in the pre-heated oven.
8.    Combine the glaze and mix thoroughly.
9.    After the meatloaf has cooked for 12-minutes
10. Brush the glaze onto the meatloaf.
11. Bake for 1 hour or until probe reaches 155 degrees.
