VEGAN BACON WOW!! WHO WOULD BELIEVE IT DAN:

                     VEGAN COCONUT BACON by CHEF DAN:
Makes 2 cups

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup coconut flakes
1/4-cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons liquid smoke or hickory smoke powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon olive oil
Black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:      (PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES)
1.   Combine soy sauce, liquid smoke, maple syrup, vinegar, and oil in a bowl.
2.   Pour in the flaked coconut, smoked paprika, and gently fold in to the liquid mixture.
3.   Marinate for 1 hour.
4.   Place in a pre-heated oven on a prepared baking sheet.
5.   Bake for 30-40 minutes until brown and crispy, stirring every 10 minutes to prevent burning.
6.   Season with dash of black pepper.
