HAMBURGER SOUP FOR THE SOUP KITCHEN ENJOY DAN:

HAMBURGER SOUP FOR THE SOUP KITCHEN by CHEF DAN:
Serves 30-40

INGREDIENTS:
10 pounds of ground beef
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoon EACH oregano, basil and Seasoning salt
1 tablespoon Herb de Provence
1 (10 Oz) package onion soup mix
22 cups broth
1 (40 Oz) can tomato sauce
1 (40 Oz) can condensed tomato soup
1 (30 Oz) can green beans
1 (28 Oz) can V/8 juice
1/4-cup soy sauce
6 celery stalks, sliced
6 carrots, sliced
1 cup ketchup
3 cups dried lentils
5 cups macaroni

DIRECTIONS:
1.   In  skillet over medium-high heat, brown meat, drain excess fat,
2.   Add salt, pepper, herbs and onion soup mix.
3.   In a stock-pot add broth and bring to a boil.
4.   Add meat mixture, tomato sauce, tomato soup, V/8 juice, ketchup, and soy sauce
5.   Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
6.   Add vegetables,  canned beans, and lentils and simmer, covered for 30 minutes
7.   Add macaroni and simmer for 30 minutes longer.
8.   Taste and season as necessary.
