SLAW
FOR THE ISLAND GREEN’S GOLF PARTY by CHEF DAN:
Serves

INGREDIENTS:
2
(16 Oz) packages coleslaw mix
20
green onions, chopped
7
carrots, finely chopped
3
tablespoons butter
2
cups mayonnaise
1/4-
cup sugar
3/4-cup
EACH milk and buttermilk
5
(3 Oz) packages chicken flavored ramen noodles
1
cup slivered almonds
1/3-cup
lemon juice
1/2-cup
apple cider vinegar
Kosher
salt and ground black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
1.
In
a bowl, toss together coleslaw mix, green onions, and carrots.
2.
Melt
the butter in skillet over medium-heat.
3.
Crumble
the roman noodle into a bowl, mix with almonds.
4.
Sprinkle
the seasoning packets over all.
5.
Add
to the skillet, cook and stir until the noodles and nuts are toasted.
6.
Whisk
mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, and season with salt
and pepper.
