PENNE PASTA COLLAGE STYLE ENJOY DAN:

             J BOB PENNE PASTA COLLEGE STYLE by CHEF DAN:
Serve 4

INGREDIENTS:
1 Pound ground beef
1 onion, minced
3 carrots, thinly sliced
1(23.5 Oz) jar PREGO Italian sauce
1 (7 Oz) can fire roasted green chilies
1/2-cup water
2 teaspoons dried basil
3 cups penne pasta
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS
1.   Cook paste according to package directions.
2.   Cook the beef onions and carrots in a fry pan over medium-high heat until beef is well browned, stirring often to separate meat.
3.   Pour off fat, and set aside.
4.   Stir the sauce, green chilies and water in the skillet and bring to a boil.
5.   Reduce heat to low.
6.   Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7.   Place the cooked penne in a large bowl.
8.   Add beef mixture and toss to coat.
9.   Sprinkle with cheese and dried basil.
