BLOOMS RED WINE BIRTHDAY CAKE ENJOY DAN:


      BLOOMS RED WINE FOR DENNIS’S BIRTHDAY CAKE by CHEF DAN:
Makes 1 Bundt Cake (MADE by LORI KATZAKIAN)

INGREDIENTS:
1-box chocolate cake mix, or yellow cake mix if you prefer
1-box instant vanilla pudding mix
2-teaspoons cinnamon
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2-cup water
1/2-cup oil
4-eggs
1-cup BLOOMS SYRAH RED WINE
1-stick unsalted butter
2-cups semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS: (PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 F)
1.   Butter Bundt pan.
2.   In a mixing bowl, combine 7 ingredients + 1/2-cup Syrah red wine.
3.   Beat with an electric mixer until well combined & smooth.
4.   Pour batter into a prepared cake pan & bake for 45 minutes.
5.   Or until a cake tester inserted into the center & comes out clean.
6.   While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze.
7.   In a saucepan, heat the butter, sugar, chocolate chips & remaining red wine, until the chocolate & sugar is incorporated.
8.   When the cake is done & while still in the pan, pour most of the glaze over the cake, letting it slowly absorb into it.
9.   When cool, invert the cake into serving plate & pour remaining glaze over it.
10  Serve with whipped cream.
