CINCO DE MAYO CROCK POT TEX MEX SOUP ENJOY DAN:


             CINCO DE MAYO CROCK POT TEX MEX SOUP by CHEF DAN:
Serves 12

INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2- pounds ground beef, browned
5cups beef broth
1-onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, smashed
1 (10 Oz) package taco seasoning
2 (16 Oz) jars salsa
1 (15.5 Oz) can black beans, undrained
1 (14.5 Oz_ can Mexican style stewed tomatoes
1-(10 Oz) package frozen corn
1 cup dried lentils
1 (4 Oz) can chopped green chilies
2 teaspoon EACH chili powder, and cumin
Salt and pepper to taste

INGREDIENTS:
1.   Combine all ingredients in the crock-pot.
2.   Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

GARNISH:
Shredded Cheddar cheese, Mexican sour cream, fresh cilantro
