BEETS WITH BROWN SUGAR AND VINEGAR ENJOY DAN:


BEETS GLAZED WITH SUGAR, AND BALSAMIC VINEGAR by CHEF DAN:

Serves 4-6

 

INGREDIENTS:

4 large GIBBERSON beets peeled and quarter

1-1/2-cups water

3/4-cup brown sugar

1//3cup balsamic vinegar

1-1/2-EACH dried rosemary, thyme and kosher salt

2 tablespoon butter

 

DIRECTIONS:

1.   Combine beets with water, vinegar, rosemary, thyme, salt and butter and bring to a boil.

2.   Reduce heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour, or until beets are tender and most of the liquid has boiled away.
