SLOPPY JOE"S WITH TOMATILLSO AND JALAPENOS ENJOY DAN;

CROCK POT SLOPPY JOE'S FOR THE ISLAND GREENS GOLF PARTY

Serves 30

INGREDIENTS:
5 pounds lean ground beef
2 pounds pork sausage
5 tomatillos, roasted
2 jalapenos, roasted
6 onions, chopped 3 onions, thinly chopped for the garnish
4 bell peppers chopped 2 bell peppers chopped for garnish
1 (30 Oz) can tomatoes sauce
2 cups beef broth
1/2-cup Pace Picante sauce
2 cups ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1/3-cup cider vinegar
1/3-cup mustard
1/4-cup green chili powder
1/4-cup Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2-teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour

DIRECTIONS:     (PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES)
1.   Take pepper skin of tomatillos.
2.   In a pre-heated oven place tomatillos, and jalapenos, and bake for 20 minutes, until nice and charred.
3.   Let cool and put into a blender and blend until smooth.
4.   Brown beef and sausage with onion and bell peppers in skillet over medium-high heat, for 10-12 minutes stirring often.
5.   Drain off grease.
6.   Place beef mixture in a slow cooker.
7.   Place all the ingredients in the crock-pot and cook on high for 4 hours.
8.   Serve on hamburger buns.
9.   Garnish with onions
