FLU TIME DRINK HOT GINGER TEA ENJOY DAN:


HOT GINGER TEA WITH CINNAMON TO FIGHT THE FLU by CHEF DAN:

Makes 3 quarts

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

3 quarts of water

1 6-inch fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

4- 3-inch cinnamon sticks

5 whole star anise

4 tablespoons brown sugar

1/4- cup toasted pine nuts

A splash of lemon juice

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

1.     Simmer water ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and brown sugar in a pot for 1 hour.

2.     Strain through a sieve into cups and garnish with toasted pine nuts and lime juice.

 

ENJOY DAN:                                 HALLELUJAH!!
