TILAPIA FILLETS WITH AN ASIA TOUCH by CHEF DAN:
Serves

INGREDIENTS:
4
tilapia fillets (about 6 Oz each) or any mild white fish
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3
tablespoon soy sauce
2
tablespoons lime juice
1
tablespoon five spice powder
2
teaspoons fish sauce
2
teaspoon mirin
1/2-teaspoon
red pepper flakes
2
garlic cloves, minced
4
scallions cut on the bias in 1/2-inch pieces
Pinch
of freshly ground black pepper
INGREDIENTS: (PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES)
1.
In
shallow pan combine honey, soy sauce, lime juice, five spice, fish sauce, mirin,
red pepper flakes, and garlic.
2.
Stir
briefly to dissolve sugar.
3.
Add
tilapia, and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
4.
Spray
a baking sheet with cooking spray.
5.
Remove
tilapia from the marinate and discard marinate.
6.
Place
the fillets into the prepared baking sheet, and season with black pepper.
7.
Bake
for 15-20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
8.
Sprinkle
over the fish with scallions.
9.
Serve
with jasmine rice or couscous.
