HONEY SESAME GLAZED SALMON WITH QUINOA

FOR
THE GLAZE:
4
salmon fillets, skin on
1/4-cup
honey
1/3-cup
light soy sauce
1
teaspoon EACH garlic powder, ginger powder and Old Bay seasoning
Sea
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
GARNISH:
1
tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
QUINOA:
1
Cup quinoa
2
cups of water.
Cook
according to package directions:
DIRECTIONS
(PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 400 F)
1.
Cook
quinoa according to package directions.
2.
Fluff
and set aside.
3.
Combine
all the ingredients for marinade in a bowl; whisk until well combined.
4.
Place
the marinate in a Zip-loc bag.
5.
Add
fish and squeeze to completely coat the salmon.
6.
Place
in the refrigerate and let them marinade for 4 hours.
7.
Remove
the salmon from the Ziploc bag and reserve the marinade.
8.
In
a skillet over medium-heat; simmer marinade for 4-5 minutes.
9.
Set
aside.
10.
Heat
1 tablespoon sesame oil in a skillet over high heat when sizzling.

Add
the salmon skin-side down and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Baste
the salmon some of the cooked glaze, cover with sesame seeds.

Place
the salmon in a prepared baking dish in the preheated oven.

Bake
for 12-15 minutes or until salmon is flakey.

Serve
with quinoa.
