INSTANT POT CARROT HALWA INDIAN DESSERT ENJOY DAN:


             INSTANT POT CARROT HALWA INDIAN DESSERT by CHEF DAN:
Serves 6

INGREDIENTS:
2-tablespoons butter
10 carrots, grated (peel if you want)
1-cup milk
3/4-cup sugar
1-cup almond meal or any flour
2-teaspoons cardamom powder
2-tablespoons raisins
1/2-teaspoon EACH saffron & turmeric
GARNISH 2-tablespoons sliced almonds or pistachios

DIRECTIONS:
1.   Turn the I.P. to SAUTE mode & when hot add butter when sizzling.
2.   Add grated carrots & sauté for 4 minutes, stirring often.
3.   Add milk and close the lid & seal pressure value.
4.   Press PRESSURE cook mode & cook on high for 5 minutes.
5.   Quick release.
6.   Open lid & add sugar & next 6-ingredients, mix well.
7.   Turn the pot to SAUTE for 5-7 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated.
8.   Garnish with sliced almonds or pistachios.
