CUBAN PICADILLO

INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2-pounds
ground beef (or pork)
1/2-onion
chopped
4
garlic cloves smashed
1/2-EACH
red bell pepper, and green bell pepper, chopped
1
cup raisins
1/3-cup
chopped pimento stuffed Spanish olives, with 1 tablespoon brine from the jar
1
(6 Oz) can tomato paste
1/4-cup
white wine
1/2-teaspoon
EACH cumin and dried oregano
1/4-bunch
cilantro
DIRECTIONS:
1.
Brown
the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until crumbly and no longer
pink, about 10 minutes.
2.
Pour
off excess grease.
3.
Then
stir in the onions and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
4.
Add
bell peppers and the next 6 ingredients.
5.
Lower
the heat cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes
