CHOCOLATE COVERED ORANGE SLICES ENJOY DAN:


             CHOCOLATE COVERED ORANGE SLICES by CHEF DAN:
12 servings:

INGREDIENTS:
2 oranges sliced into 1/8-inch rounds
2 cups water
1-1/2-cups sugar
1/2-cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2-teapoon olive oil
1/4-teaspon EACH ground cinnamon, and all spice
Sea salt to taste
2 tablespoon hazel nuts chopped
2 tablespoons coconut flacks

DIRECTIONS:
1.   In a skillet, combine water and sugar and bring to a boil.
2.   Stir until the sugar gets dissolved.
3.   Reduce heat to medium-low: add orange slices.
4.   Simmer for 1 hour.
5.   Remove slices one-by-one and place on a cooling rack in a single layer.
6.   Let slices dry for 2 hours or overnight.
7.   Melt chocolate, and 4 ingredients and stir.
8.   Dip half of each orange in chocolate.
9.   Sprinkle with chopped hazel, nuts, and toasted coconut flakes
