BANANA NUT FRENCH TOAST ENJOY DAN:

                     BANANA NUT FRENCH TOAST by CHEF DAN:
SERVES 6

INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2-cup slivered almonds
6 eggs
1-1/2-cups almond milk
2 tablespoon vanilla extract with 1 teaspoon of maple syrup with a dash of cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of sea salt
12 slices Essential Baking Co. organic multi grain bread
6 ripe bananas, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch rounds
1-1/2-cups brown sugar
4 tablespoons olive oil
8 tablespoon butter

DIRECTIONS (PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 F)
1.   Place slivered almonds on a rimmed baking sheet, and toast until lightly brown and fragrant, about 4-5 minutes.
2.   Set aside.
3.   Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla mixture, nutmeg and salt in a bowl.
4.   Combine bananas, sugar, and slivered almonds in another bowl.
5.   Mix all the ingredients together except sliced bread, bananas, and olive oil.
6.   In a skillet over medium-high heat add olive oil and when sizzling.
7.   Place 1 slice of bread into the egg mixture at a time.
8.   Add the drenched slice of bread into the skillet.
9.   Brown the bread on both sides.
10.                Repeat with each slice of bread.
11.                Top French toast with slice bananas, sliced almonds, and if desired pure syrup.
