SLOW COOKED CARNITAS WITH PAN FRIED PASTA ENJOY DAN:


       SLOW COOKED CARNITAS WITH PAN FRIED PASTA by CHEF DAN:
Serves 8         

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups beef broth
1-beer
3 pounds, beef chuck roast, cubed
2 onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1-red chili pepper, seeded and chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
2 tablespoon chili powder
1/4-teaspoon EACH turmeric, garlic, powder, and cayenne pepper
1-pound angel hair pasta, broken into 4-inch pieces
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
1.   In dry fry pan add pasta and fry until browned.
2.   In a pot of salted water and add pasta and cook 8 minutes.
3.   Set aside.
4.   In a bowl add all spices together and stir to combine.
5.   Rub the mixture generously over the meat.
6.   Place meat in the crock pot.
7.   Cover with chopped onions and peppers.
8.   Cover and cook on low heat for about 6- 8 hours.
9.   Shred the meat in the pot with 2 forks.
10  Serve over pasta or with 30 minutes to go add pasta, stir to combine.
