CRANBERRY NUT GRANOLA BARS ENJOY DAN:


                CRANBERRY NUT GRANOLA BARS by CHEF DAN:
Makes 32 bars

INGREDIENTS:
1-cup cashews
1-1/2-cup almonds
1-cup pecans
1-cup pumpkin seeds
1-cup sunflower seeds
3/4-cups dry tart cranberries
1/3-cup puree maple syrup
1/3-cup brown sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2-teaspoons cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1/4-dark chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS: (PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 F)
1.   Prepare a baking sheet sprayed with Pam or covered with aluminum foil.
2.   In a food processor add 1/2-cup EACH cashew, almonds, pecans + 1/4-cup tart cranberries.
3.   Pulse 5-6 times.
4.   Add chopped mixture to a bowl with remaining nuts + seeds.
5.   In a sauce pan add syrup, and next 4 ingredients.
6.   Stir and bring mixture to a simmer when bubbling.
7.   Turn of heat; pour over the nut and seed mixture in a bowl.
8.   Stir until well combined.
9.   Bake for 20 minutes.
10  Remove from oven.
11  Stir in cranberries and chocolate chips and bake an additional 10-5 minutes.
