SLOW COOKED CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP FOR THE TREE FARM WORKERS ENJOY DAN:

    SLOW COOKED CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP FOR THE TREE FARM WORKERS
                                                                                                    By CHEF DAN:
Serves 10-12

INGREDIENTS:
3-4 pounds chicken pieces
1 box sliced cremini mushrooms
4 garlic cloves, smashed
1/2-teaspoon EACH dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, and dried sage
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
4 bay leaves
8 cups chicken broth
1 (64 Oz) bag mixed vegetables
2 (22.6 Oz) can cream of chicken soup
2 (22.6 Oz) can cream of mushrooms soup
3 cups egg noodles
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS:
1.   Arrange chicken pieces in the bottom of crock pot.
2.   Layer vegetables, mushrooms, and garlic on top.
3.   Sprinkle with dried basil, and next 5 ingredients.
4.   Season with salt and pepper.
5.   Pour in chicken broth, cream of chicken and cream of mushrooms.
6.   Cook on low for 8-9 hours.
7.   Remove chicken to a cutting board and discard bay leaves.
8.   Stir in the noodles and increase heat to high.
9.   Remove skin, bones, and cartilage from the chicken.
10  place back into the crock pot and cook 30 minutes.
11  Add lemon juice.
