NUTS WITH MIRIN AND MAPLE SYRUP ENJOY DAN:


MAPLE SYRUP GLAZED PECANS WITH MIRIN by CHEF DAN:

Serves a bunch

 

INGREDIENTS:

4 whole cloves

2 whole allspice berries

1 teaspoon EACH ground cumin, ground cinnamon, and green chili powder

1 tablespoon kosher salt

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

8 cup pecans

1/2-cup mirin

1/4-cup maple syrup

 

DIRECTIONS:  (PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES)

1.   Place all ingredients, except pecans, mirin, and maple syrup in a spice grinder and bend well.

2.   In a bowl toss the mirin, syrup and pecans and combine.

3.   Place on a baking sheet and bake for 1- minutes.
