STRAWBERRIES AR IN SO A TART FOR THE LADIES AT THE SOUP KITCHEN ENJOY DAN:


       STRAWBERRY PUFF PASTRY TART by CHEF DAN:
Serves 12       (for the soup kitchen ladies)

INGREDIENTS:
1 egg
2 teaspoons water
1 prepared pie dish
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese at room temperature
1/2-cup white sugar
 1/2-teaspoon cinnamon
1/2-teaspoon all spice
1/4-cup powdered sugar
1-1/2-cups fresh strawberries, halved

DIRECTIONS:      (PRE-HEAT THE OVEN TO 400 DEGREES)

1.  Whisk the egg with the water.
2.  Coat the pastry shell with the egg wash.
3.  Cover with powder sugar.
4.  Mix the cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon allspice in a bowl.
5.  Mix until thoroughly blended set aside.
6.  Place the puff pastry shell on a pre-pared baking sheet.
7.  Bake in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes.
8.  Spoon cream cheese mixture in the pie dish.
9.  Top with strawberries.
10.              Return to oven and cook 5 minutes more.
