PALEO WAFFLES WITH HONEY CINNAMON SYRUP by CHEF DAN:

INGREDIENTS:
1
cup coconut flour
2
tablespoon almond meal
2
teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2-teaspoons
baking powder
1
teaspoon baking soda
1/2-teaspoon
kosher salt
2
teaspoons EACH ground cinnamon & vanilla extract
1
cup almond milk
3
tablespoon coconut oil, melted
2
eggs, beaten
1
tablespoon apple cider vinegar
coconut
oil to grease waffle-iron
DIRECTIONS:
-
Preheat & grease a waffle-iron as needed.

Combine coconut flour and next 7 ingredients; whisk to combine.

In another bowl stir n almond milk, coconut oil, eggs & cider vinegar.

stir in almond milk, oil, eggs and vinegar.
-
Add almond milk mixture to flour mixture; stir to combine.

Let batter sit for about 10 minutes.

Pour about 1 cup batter into a waffle-iron.

cook until crisp and golden, about 6 minutes.

Repeat with remaining batter.
HONEY
CINNAMON SYRUP:
1/2-cup
coconut oil, warmed
if solid
1/2-cup
raw honey, warmed if solid
2
teaspoons vanilla extract
2
teaspoon ground cinnamon
Top
with sliced banana
DIRECTIONS:
-
Melt all toppings ingredients together in a saucepan and stir until well combined.
-
drizzle over waffles and top with bananas.
