TOFU WITH HERBS AND CHEESE by
CHEF DAN:
Serves

INGREDIENTS:
1
(14 Oz) tofu container
1
tablespoon sesame oil
2
teaspoons butter
1/4-teaspoon
EACH turmeric, garam masala, and green zaatar
Kosher
salt & Seasoned Pepper Medley to taste
2
teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
2
tablespoon EACH tarragon, basil and Italian Seasoning
2
tablespoon fresh snipped chives
1/2-cup
goat cheese
Dash
of smoked paprika for serving
DIRECTIONS:
1.
Drain
the tofu, wrap in paper towels, put in a coriander and place a heavy object on
top, and press for 20 minutes.
2.
Heat
oil and butter in a saucepan over medium-heat when sizzling.
3.
Crumble
the tofu into the pan in pieces almost the size of scrambled egg curds.
4.
Sprinkle
with turmeric and next 3 ingredients.
5.
Turn
up heat and cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until dry and
firm, but not hard.
6.
Add
the herbs and cheese and season with salt and pepper.
7.
Serve
with a dash of smoked paprika.
