CARAMELIZED PEARS ENJOY DAN:


                        CARAMELIZED PEARS by CHEF DAN:
makes 4 plates

INGREDIENTS:
1/2-cup brown sugar
4-tablespoons butter
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
4-cup ripe pears pitted and quartered
2 teaspoons bourbon
vanilla ice cream

DIRECTIONS
1.   Heat the butter a skillet over medium-heat and when sizzling.
2.   Add the pears, cut side down, cooking until slightly browned about 5 minutes.
3.   Add brown sugar and continue cooking until caramelize, 5 more minutes.
4.   Add the bourbon and continue cooking for 5 more minutes.
5.   Divide the pears among 4 plates, garnish with a scoop of ice cream.
6.   Drizzle with the Carmel sauce.
