HOW TO MAKE ZA’ATAR SPICE
BLEND by CHEF DAN:
Makes
12 servings
INGREDIENTS:
1/2-cup
dried thyme
2
tablespoons EACH oregano, and marjoram leaves
1/2-teaspon
kosher salt
1/4-cup
toasted sesame sees
DIRECTIONS:
1.
In
a cast-iron skillet over medium-heat toast sesame seeds until browned.
2.
Set
aside.
3.
In
a spice grinder grind thyme and next 3 ingredients into a powder.
4.
Then
mix in toasted sesame seeds.
5.
Place
in Mason jar with a tight lid and store for 6 months.
